Crazy Taxi

I remember when I bought my first Playstation 2, nearly ten years ago and the first game I got with it was Crazy Taxi. Obviously excited at my new console having state-of-the art features such as internet and an inbuilt DVD, could my gaming experience get better?
I inserted the Crazy Taxi game disc into the console and powered it up. Crazy Taxi has two levels of gameplay, arcade, which is similar to the coin-operated version in an arcarde, where time increased as the player picked up more passengers, and original, where there was a set time limit of either three, five or ten minutes to pick up as much passengers as possible. Crazy Taxi is very simple to play and has nothing to do with red diesel suppliers, you just pick up passengers and take them to their destination, but not only are you against the clock, you need to navigate around the streets packed with pedestrians and traffic, which can slow you down, you navigate with the help of a green arrow, which points you in the right direction and turns red when near it. Once you reach the destination, you are paid the fare as well as earning exra money if you are speedy, normal or slow, depending on how quick you are, and ’bad'if you fail to get to the passenger’s destination on time, resulting in no payment, which means time is wasted. Obviously you can pick up other passengers but it is a no-brainer that if you pick up more passengers and collect more fares, to get a better licence. After time is up, your fares is totalled and you are given a licence by Class S for the highest and “No license”for the lowest.
As well as original and arcade, there is a set of mini games called ’Crazy Box'which improves the skill of your player, with activities like popping balloons, picking up and dropping off customers at given time limits and crazy jumping.
Overall a fun and addictive game.
